Peachy

Peaches are another food that I wait eleven months for.

It ranks right up there on my list with

 fresh corn on the cob, garden tomatoes and rhubarb.

I purchased a crate of fresh peaches this week

and have been digging out my recipes for peach pie,

 peach smoothies and peach crisp...but today I made peach butter.

It is a first for me.

It took a long time to cook down.

 I think I may try doing it in the oven the next time.
