late

Is it too late to squeeze in one last summer picture?

Mr. b made these adorable foldable chairs for the grand's dolls.

I added the fabric from my stash and the chairs cost almost nothing to make.

That's all...tomorrow I'll be back to fall pics.

As always, thanks for checking me out here.

September?

Are you like me and wondering where September went?

Mr. b pulled over and took this picture for me in Door County.
It's a shop...a Christmas shop.
It was filled to the steeple with Christmas decor!

Quiz: What is in knit and pearl's knitting bowl?
I'll be back in a few days to show you.

I have been slowly pulling out a few fall decorating items
but I really like to decorate with nature this time of year...

which happily will involve another trip to a farm stand for gourds and pumpkins.

Friday Post Card

The last two nights of our trip we were lucky enough

to be able to back our camper in to a  Mississippi river spot in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

This is the reason I insisted on a large back window in our camper.
It was a beautiful campsite to wind down in before heading home.

Fall camping is the best.

colors

We love that every day we are here

the leaves are changing and showing a little more color.

They have exactly one more week to perform for us here in Wisconsin.

Door County

We are in Door County, Wisconsin for a week.

It's usually all about the water for us.

These silly goats can be observed on the roof of a well-known restaurant.
They are pretty oblivious to all the tourists watching them and taking pictures.

Door County is known for it's cherries so I will be on the hunt for anything cherry.

Ladies and Gentlemen!

Yesterday we drove over to Baraboo, Wisconsin.

If you've never seen the winter grounds of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus

it's a fascinating place to visit.

Looking at the buildings that housed their animals

and seeing the circus wagons is like stepping back in time.

Friday post card

 It isn't Monday?

FYI: The Amish first came to this area (Harmony, Mn.) in 1974.
Their community has since grown to encompass over 90 families
living within approximately 12 square miles.

summer duds

The best dressed dolls in town.
I wish I could turn out clothes for myself like I do for dolls.
These little shorts outfits are perfect for the last days of summer
and they love playing in the park.

We took a drive yesterday which  involved a grocery store,
a lumberyard, a farm stand and my sisters farm.
It's always nice to get out to see the changing countryside this time of year.

It's not too often that I am ahead of the game
but I rolled out this Halloween outfit
Monday in my little sewing sweatshop.

I really enjoy cutting and sewing all the little pieces
these doll clothes call for from my fabric stash.

One of my granddaughters told me not long ago
that I have an unhealthy amount of fabric.
That comment is still making me laugh.
