1990

It's 1990 and you have geese everywhere...

on your wallpaper, pictures, your pot holders and on shelves.

You probably even had one on the front of your sweater.

Your colors are dusty blue and pink, balanced out with yellow.

A flour sack towel like this probably hung on your oven door.

Trends don't interest me anymore.
Our home is filled with the things I love.

I finally finished this afghan I started in the 90's
and I will probably keep it regardless of being pink.

I embroidered the flour sack towel to coincide with the 1990 trend.

I'm sure they will both be around for another couple of decades.

Laid back lazy

We've had lots of rain here in Texas which makes our days even lazier.

Today the sun is out so Mr. b will hit the golf course and I will head to the pool

If I'm not at home stitch'n we are out roaming.
This week we found our way to Trader Joes and I'm a huge fan.

We caught this rust on our way to one of our favorite meat markets
where we came away with a couple of rings of German sausage.
My paternal grandmother made the best 'wurst'.

Living Texas

You can't visit Texas without making a bowl of guacamole
and the avocados are fresh from the border.

We call this next picture...

"A Texas gated community." Texas definitely has it's trashy areas.

In-N-Out Burger is our fast food of choice.

Sayonara McD!

A little knitting, a little painting...reading, kings in the corner and rummy.
It's unusually cold here today so I will get lots of nothing done.

Texas

We left 12 inches of snow at home and arrived to sunshine and green grass here in Texas. I've even been able to use the pool which is new to us this year...a heated pool and hot tub in our rv park.

I thought this rusted out Seven-Up sign had Texas written all over it.

And these dried red chili peppers! = Texas chili

Mr. b and my brother Dave didn't waste any time hitting the links on New Years Day. It was an over-priced snooty semi private club but hey...life is short.
