happy trails

Where's my saw when I need it?

One of these trees would look good after Dakota Man

made it into a few bowls for me.

Our bike ride this morning was beautiful.

We even pedaled by a controlled burn on the side of the trail.

biking

Tuesday we spent three hours biking Spearfish Canyon.

We can finally bike again with electric bikes.

It seems like we are always going uphill or against the wind.

They had received a heavy rain a few days before this
so the streams were running fast.

They are predicting the leaves to peak here next week.

Black Hills

We are finally getting to spend a couple of weeks in the beautiful Black Hills.
Our first day here we were lucky enough to see three mountain goats,
one of them on the side of the canyon walls.

I plan on spending most of my time knitting and reading.

fall

I love fall but it's not showing enough signs of it out there

to get me excited about it yet.

Hitting a farm stand or two for some pumpkins and gourds would help.
Cooler weather is definitely a must.
I made this cute guy years ago and am glad I saved him.

Way back Wednesday

We are still stumbling around here with the after effects of covid.
Our energy levels are still pretty low but improving.

I showed you these dishrags over 10 years ago here on my blog.

They are still my go-to project

when I just want a small brainless project to keep busy.

Dinosaurs

I did some sewing for daughter knit and pearl

and stitched up this quick dinosaur quilt top

with fabric she provided.

Her youngest daughter is crazy about dinosaurs

and I think she will love it.

grafitti art

I picked up a few used denim shorts to paint for the grands.

I'm thinking I will do some with them at grandma's summer camp next year.
