golf

Yesterday we traveled an hour north to golf Tapatio Springs golf resort
in Boerne, Texas.
It's a beautiful course located in Texas Hill Country
and owned by George Strait.
I am not a country music fan but the golf course did impress me.

breakfast

Not too many campgrounds have a chicken coop do they?

Thank you for breakfast girls.

I finished embroidering this flour sack towel
just in time to give to our hostess.

@#%^&

We are packing today for our trip south...
and man oh man do I hate packing.
It's hard enough planning for one day
but 60! @#%

It definitely turns me into a bear.

But on the bright side in a few days
we should be 70+ degrees warmer.

brag

Look what I found in the mail this morning
Made by daughter knit and pearl...
this beautiful chenille throw.

Her family lives wayyyy up north in moose country
and Mr. b and I have yet to see one while there.
In fact they saw two yesterday while traveling home.

We will be throwing this in our camper in a few days.

books

January is a good time to tackle my newest stack of books.

I wonder if I could concentrate on an audio book while I knit?
I have a wandering mind so I doubt it.

language please?

I stitched up a few zipper pouches today.

Can you ever have enough of these things
to store all your little junk in?

I'm slowly getting used to blogging on a different computer...
It is testing my language skills for sure.

you can too

Life at our house this weekend was pretty laid back.
I did just enough to convince myself that I earned a little extra netflix time.
I'm always happy to be using up some of my flannel stash.
I mean what was I thinking when I bought all this!?
SALE I'm sure.

Two baby blankets takes four yards of flannel.
Square up your fabric, sew around leaving a space to turn.
Turn, sew shut the space where you turned and walla...
a sweet baby blanket.
I like to fancy stitch around the whole thing.

Dakota Man toys make my blankets that much sweeter.
This little train engine that could is adorable.

Friday post card

We are having computer issues over here at knit and pearl
so I am relying on my picture archives.
And isn't she just the sweetest?
Maybe she needs a new dress this weekend.

2020

Here's to starting a few new projects
and finishing up the old ones.

Shrimp Alfredo is a tradition of ours for New Year's Eve.

We are generally sleeping by midnight...
unless the neighbor's fireworks are keeping us awake.
