Amish Apple Fritters

It was the perfect day here...
cold and snowy...
to try a new pattern.

Sweater Slipper Boots
Are you like me and hate throwing away a favorite sweater?
Even if it is too small and a bit outdated?

I'll be making a few more of these!

When I finished sewing slippers it was coffee time.

Amish Apple Fritters

1 cup flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup plus 1 Tbsp. milk
1 1/2 cups apples, pared and diced

1. Sift dry ingredients together.
Beat egg and add milk. Pour into dry ingredients and stir until batter is smooth.

2. Pare and dice apples. Add apples to batter and blend well.

3. Drop by spoonful's and fry in hot fat in heavy skillet. Fry until golden brown on both sides.

4. Roll in sugar and cinnamon to serve.
