Beach Baby

We saw a lot of this on Cocoa Beach. So much that the granddaughters and I had to write a short song on the beach babies and I came back to paint one.

I dug out a couple of flannels this week for crocheting around.

It's a tiny hook but I love doing the intricate work. It may be time to attempt a doily again, you know like the ones grandma had on every surface in  her drawing room.

Ciao

We've been enjoying watching Stanley Tucci In Italy on the Discovery Channel.

It has definitely inspired me in the kitchen.
This pizza had me looking for San Marzarno tomatoes to make my own sauce
 and rolling out fresh dough.
It was delizioso.

Today I rolled out noodles to make Creamy Herb Pasta.. I wonder if Italians are mostly overweight? Cream, butter, cheese, wine...

We didn't open this bottle of Limoncello yet.

Maybe with some lasagna.

Arrivederci          ~b

miracles

I planted this rose bush shortly after we moved into this house 23 years ago and this is the first time it has bloomed. I have been taking care of it a long time. I consider it a mystery and miracle. The other three rose bushes I planted bloomed every year until their demise.

We are definitely having a differant type of summer here.

As soon as I had a little strength back after this cold I dug out my sourdough starter and made sourdough cinnamon raisin bread this week. Working with dough is so therapeutic.

Move over Sara Lee!

Florida

We are back from an exciting week in Florida.

Of course Disney World was our main focus...

I took my pocket camera so the pictures aren't that good.

Our day at Cocoa beach had us looking for aloe that night.

We barely had time to stop and admire the native trees and flowers.
Mr. b and I are still recuperating before getting back to our routine.
