It's an American Girl doll week here...
I promised Willa and Mae some new summer outfits.
This is Rose modeling the first of the clothes.
They got a new camper and want to look spiffy
when they take it out for the first time.
Rose is hoping they will take her along sometime.
Lucky dolls.

We spent last week camping in my first hometown.
Revisiting the old haunts and recalling memories
is something I love to do.
This old bandshell was erected in 1963
and was right behind our camper.
We caught a concert the night before we left.
Talk about a dying event...we set up our lawnchairs
and really enjoyed an evening in the park.

of South Dakota for a week.

Grab a fly swatter or a can of Raid...
When we cook chicken breasts for dinner
I always have Mr. b throw a couple extras on the smoker for recipes like this.
Smoked Chicken Fettuccine with homemade egg noodles.
When we come back from long camping trips I go into my
Betty Crocker split personality and can't get enough cooking and sewing.

Yesterday was the perfect day for a little red, white and blue project
while my rhubarb pie baked in the oven.
