panda
Hooked on zipper pouches...
These were a little more work
than I normally put into making my zipper pouches...
but they were fun to make.

cornhole
Who doesn't love a good game of Cornhole?
They will bring lots of patriotic fun to our 4th of July BBQ!
Dakota Man spent two weeks making these for the family.
He really did an outstanding job on them.
We have a couple of cornhole champs in our family
so Mr. b and I are going to have to practice up.

with sprinkles
Wedding cake cupcakes...
Have you tried transforming a plain white box cake mix into
wedding cake? There are tons of recipes on Pinterest for them
and they are delicious!
I made mine into cupcakes for the granddaughters.
Sprinkles courtesy of them.

camping
We are taking the camper down the road for the next couple of weeks.
Camping involves rootbeer floats
and lots of games in case the granddaughters show up.
Dakota Man made me that fun flag for our patio area.
I will be posting from the road
so be sure to check back from time to time.

scraps
Today I am digging out my orange peel (in progress) quilt.
It's one of a few that I work on intermittently
to prevent boredom in my little sewing sweatshop.

moo
I liked this tin planter so well that I brought it home
and made a table runner in the same colors.
Isn't he sweet?

working at the car wash
Grandpa thought it would be a good idea
to have a car wash in honor of Father's Day...
Grandpa believes in child labor just as his parents did.
Grandpa believes in child labor just as his parents did.
Some of the work gets kinda hard
This ain't no place to be if you planned on bein' a star
Let me tell you it's always cool
And the boss don't mind sometimes if you act the fool
His two helpers took their job very seriously.
At the car wash
Workin' at the car wash, girl
Come on and sing it with me

quilts
The barn quilt Mr. b made me is finished and hung on my shed.
(Well, actually it's more of a playhouse.)
Of course...I love it!
Ideas for a fall quilt are already rolling around in my head.

Rainbow
Our three-year-old granddaughter told this grandma
she needed more clothes for her dolly Rainbow.
It didn't take me long to dig out a pattern and fabric.
I love it when the granddaughters ask me for things.
Grandpa says "NO" isn't in my vocabulary when it comes to these girls.

weekend
This weekend we...
... enjoyed homemade buns.
This is a new recipe using molasses.
...bought a Blackstone griddle for camping.
My family agrees I need to stay off pinterest
which is where I saw these.
Dakota Man is making cornhole games...
also for camping.
I'm enjoying rose and mock orange cuttings.
How was your weekend?

soccer weekend
We had a fun weekend watching our granddaughters play soccer.
Soccer can be a rough sport with all that kicking.
There was more than one ball to the face while we were there.
You better have lots of energy when you go out on the field.
I'm always amazed at kids that play competitive sports
and I was proud of the way these girls played.

totes
This weekend I found myself without a roomy tote bag
to carry camera, water, etc. to our granddaughters soccer games.
Imagine that...
the tote bag maker without a tote at all times!
I made this one last week to sell.
Up-cycled denim and Tim Holtz fabric make a great combination.
Isn't that little red fire truck fun?
Dakota Man and I make a good team.

the wheels on the bus
You see everything in campgrounds...
from new to old...
...to homemade!
Can you guess what we were doing the last four days?
