pickles and petunias

Today I have Grandma Bertha's recipe out for pickles.
It has been in our family for many years and probably longer than that.
 
I think she would be proud that three generations
 are still making pickles with her recipe.
 
 
My kitchen smells better than an expensive candle...
garlic, dill and vinegar.
 
Tomorrow Mr. b and I will be doing the salsa in the kitchen...

    I miss my canning days . . .
    My late husband used to help me can, freeze, years ago.

    My daughter and I still do pickles . . . we may still squeeze that in this year.
    We too use a very old family recipe.
    Isn’t the fragrance wonderful!
