country air

We love driving the backroads. It was a follow those leaves trip.

When we found ourselves in Amish country I was pretty excited.

Besides this pretty bouquet of flowers we got eggs, peppers, onions, garlic and local maple syrup. We were thinking breakfast I guess.

Door County

Ten days on Wisconsin's Door County and I still threw a pity party when we left.

This is the 4th time we have been here.

It's a beautiful place. I'm sure we will return.

Today we are in LaCrosse Wisconsin camped beside the Mississippi river. Can you tell we love water? We are headed back to South Dakota from here.

The plan is to end where we started...at our granddaugher's soccer game.

Life is beautiful.

We are on Minnesota's North Shore...one of our favorite places to visit.

Our first stop was to watch our granddaughter's soccer game. It was a struggle for them in the rain. We were able to watch from the comfort of our vehicle.

From there we went about as far north as possible while staying in the USA. We spent two days with our daughter's family camping. I wonder where we all got our love of camping?

WE visited a mum farm while in North Dakota where we came away with mums, apples and honey.

Yesterday we biked 9.5 miles of shoreline. Today we gearing up for a much longer ride.

Life is good...

mushrooms

 Mushroom Monday here...

We love mushrooms and onions marinated in wine and served over a steak...
hamburger steak.

I also like to paint mushrooms.

Dakota Man turned a few for me too.

I have a nature shelf in our camper that the small one will be perfect on.

Thank you Mother Earth.

Bee Happy

One more finished block for my Farm Quilt.
This one was a little easier and faster to make.
In this heat my little sewing sweatshop is the coolest place in the house
for more reasons than one.

September

It's September...The best month of the year.

I finished this fun quilt square this morning.

Happy Birthday today to my brother Steve. My two brothers were instrumental in getting us to winter in Texas. And we love it!

Tuesday we head out in our rv for our fall trip so bring on some cooler temperatures.
