September

Another month that went by too fast.

It also made me another year older.

production

Today in the little sewing sweatshop

and on my worktable

while Loreena McKennitt plays on my cd player

I am working on this quilt.

Have I mentioned that fall is my favorite season?

I have three quilts here that are heading towards the finish line

and I am determined to finish all three before starting three more.

I could use a couple more bodies in my production line.

k1 p1

Time to finish up some of last years knitting projects.

This one  requires counting and it's sometimes difficult to knit interruption free.

I love the colors of this yarn...like the changing leaves this time of year.

thankful

Have you heard? It's officially fall!

All the signs are here.

Thank God!

This sweet little church was at one of the campgrounds in Wisconsin we stayed at.

The first picture was taken in North Dakota.

northern exposure

Minnesota's North Shore

Tomorrow we leave Minnesota.
I wish we could hang around until the leaves peak
but we have enjoyed some color.
As soon as I have a bag of wild rice, cranberries and apples
we can cross the border into the Dakotas.

When you are by the Great Lakes you eat fish.

Yesterday we visited the historic community of Galena, Illinois.

The Ulysses S. Grant Home

Galena is a beautiful town full of history and wonderful old architecture.

Of course, we always like to check out the cemetery.
The oldest stones here were almost all Irish immigrants.
