October

It's seems to have been a very good year for pumpkins and gourds...
they are everywhere and there are oodles of them!

I don't begrudge the farmer his earnings...
but if they were just a bit cheaper I would go home with a truck load of them!

Autumn art don't you think?

Of all the seasons, autumn offers the most to man and requires the least of him.
 ~Hal Borland

 October’s the month
When the smallest breeze
Gives us a shower
Of autumn leaves.
Bonfires and pumpkins,
Leaves sailing down —
October is red
And golden and brown.

And now I think the end of this post
calls for a cup of apple cider.

  2. I went looking today for precisely what you ave pictured . . . and had no luck. I am looking for a very large, flat, kind squished light orange pumpkin or gourd . . .
