Paper

Add making paper to my list of endeavors.

  I've had this on my "try it" list for awhile thinking it would be fun to do with the granddaughters at grandma's summer camp.

I bought my inexpensive frames from Amazon but will ask my resident woodworker to make me a couple more of them in different sizes. We always have a bag of shredded paper from old bills and such.

I stamped a couple to use as notecards.

Eggs

 While we were gone this winter I found a few projects for dakota man to make once we got home.

This egg holder didn't keep him busy for long.

It will keep my eggs from rolling off the counter when I'm cooking and it won't take up any space in the drawer although I bet it never gets put away for long.

Birds

Spring birds for a new quilt. 

It's always fun to start a quilt. I need 40 birds for it so hope I can hang in there and finish it before I get bored making them.

It's a scrappy project and you know how I love using up what I already have.

Happy Easter

             We are back home from Texas and raring to go after a nice winter break.

              I put the heavy quilts away and got this one out. The house is still a little chilly.

Our lunch will be an egg bake and there may be a couple of pieces of key lime pie that made it back. 

Yesterday I printed off two new patterns, a tote bag and a quilt. I need to learn how bottle up this feeling of euphoria.

Oh Galveston

We enjoy that Galveston is so historical.

I like to vision the city when homes like these were built.

They are in the heart of the city not far from the gulf.

We leave here to head north in 11 days.

Beach days

                          Our beach days go by quickly here on the Gulf of Mexico.

B is for bee

 It's February already.

I put down my embroidery project to finish this crochet project. I would be happy to finish three projects in progress this first quarter of the year.

They had organic blueberries in the supermarket this week 

and I love making homemade jelly.

So maybe b is for blueberries.

Texas

 My days go by far too quickly. We have been in Texas two weeks and absent here for longer than that.

               I discovered this baby blanket in the cupboard so I have been working on it.

Dakota Man made this for daughter knit and pearls Christmas.

In Texas style I made poblano creamed corn yesterday.

It is a sunny 73 degrees here today with a blizzard brewing up back home.

Life is good.
