zombie doll

Our four-year-old granddaughter left the doll
I made her outside and guess who got it?
One of their dogs.

It got chewed up pretty bad and she was devastated about it.
(I had a bit of fun editing here.)

The doll was sent home with grandma
in hopes that it could be nursed back to health.

What do you think?
As good as new?

The apple man

We came across this apple man in Minnesota.
He really had it going...
overalls, hat, samples and location.

He was selling out of his antique truck.
I was pretty sure he was Grandpa Walton.

We bought a bag and I made apple butter in my crock pot.

Mr. b loves apple butter (and me).

Alaska

The Alaska quilt is back from the quilter.
Keeping with the theme of the quilt
I had the quilter do a star pattern.

As I love scrap quilts so well I included quilt squares
with a bit of scrappiness between the Alaska wolves.

I hand stitched the binding and it is finished.

favorite things

The quilts are slowly coming out at our house.

This is one I made for Mr. b last year.
Everyone should have their own quilt right?

It is a favorite...
with a flannel top and a fleece back.

weekend update

Hi!
We had a fun weekend watching our granddaughters play soccer.
There is a lot to admire when you see 10-year-old kids playing their hearts out at soccer.
They are all winners at the end of the game.
Please don't tell me that today's kids are lazy...
I will take you to a soccer game.

Our weekend also involved endless shrimp and Flyboy doughnuts.
Lucky me right?
