Alaska

The Alaska quilt is back from the quilter.
Keeping with the theme of the quilt
I had the quilter do a star pattern.

As I love scrap quilts so well I included quilt squares
with a bit of scrappiness between the Alaska wolves.

I hand stitched the binding and it is finished.

favorite things

The quilts are slowly coming out at our house.

This is one I made for Mr. b last year.
Everyone should have their own quilt right?

It is a favorite...

weekend update

Hi!
We had a fun weekend watching our granddaughters play soccer.
There is a lot to admire when you see 10-year-old kids playing their hearts out at soccer.
They are all winners at the end of the game.
Please don't tell me that today's kids are lazy...
I will take you to a soccer game.

Our weekend also involved endless shrimp and Flyboy doughnuts.
Lucky me right?

Friday post card

The leaves fall, the wind blows,
and the farm country slowly changes
from the summer cottons into its winter wools.

Free-range

Fresh is best. Buy local.
Another sweet project bag...

…it's sized extra large.

I used a plaid flannel (shirt) for the lining.

Life is better on the farm.

fall designs

Mr. b hung my fall barn quilt.

Every leaf speaks bliss to me, fluttering from the autumn tree.

breakfast

We encountered this wiley coyote while driving Custer State Park last week.
He barely noticed us as he was intent on hunting for breakfast.
And he did catch himself a nice fat mouse.
Yum, right?
