Friday post card

We took a trip to the Black Hills hoping to see some fall.
Turns out we saw fall and winter.

drying dishes

These are just a couple of the embroidered
flour sack towels I finished while camping this summer.

Embroidery is one of my favorite crafts to do.
Would you believe I rarely use one of my towels?
Just another thing I hoard.

Goodnight Irene...goodnight

I sewed this nightshirt for granddaughter #3.
She will only wear nightgowns so I'm really hoping this passes.
She also loves the Disney characters.

"What did the fox say?"

Grandma likes the old fashioned soft flannels for bedtime.

Friday post card

This Idaho potato passed us on interstate 90 in Minnesota.
It made me laugh and reach for my camera.

YAY

I completed two more old projects this week.

This shawl was in my travel bag as a no-brain project.
We must not travel often enough because it is several years old.
I may just wear it to a wedding this weekend.

I have a problem with seconds
because I never seem to get the second sock, mitten
or embroidered pillowcase done.

I am going to need these thick wooly socks soon...
our nighttime temps are in the 30's with snow in the forecast.
I will be digging out a couple more projects in progress soon.
I'm pretty happy to have finished five of them in the last couple of weeks.

amen

I never get tired of taking pictures of pretty rural churches.
And aren't all churches pretty?
These were taken on our last camping trip.

Mr. b just finished this picture.
It is so pretty in fall colors.
A winter church may be next.

October embroidery

Well gosh, where did September go?
It feels like it didn't even happen.

A small challenge...
A flour sack towel of the month here,
every month on the first.
