twins

I needed a baby gift for twins.

A boy...

and a girl.

Bibs always make a great gift!
I don't think you can ever have enough of them?

And when I had those done...
I had to make our 11-month-old granddaughter one.
She definitely quacks me up.

ooh la la

I had two goals when I got up this morning...
1. Make a burlap bag and
2. Find a new recipe for brussel sprouts

I wanted to use a burlap coffee bag to make a sling bag.

I think it turned out fantastic.

It will be perfect for summer farmer markets.
And talking about farmer markets...

Mr. b loves brussels sprouts...
me not so much.
I am always on the lookout for recipes
to make them more appealing to me.
Of course he will take them any way he can get them.
This recipe calls for Dijon mustard (ooh la la, fancy)
and in the crockpot for 5 hours.

I will let you know if they pass muster(d) later...

cool

If you are going to do some knitting in the summer
you want to make sure it is a cool project.

A pair of socks in summer colors...

perfect!

The yarn color is called "Mrs. Featherbottom."
I enjoy a little silliness, don't you?

Paired with a good book...
life is good.

for a friend...

I always say...
"Why make just one?"

Making a second one for a friend is always fun.

it's a million little things."

a good witch

Have you discovered Witch Hazel?
I use it on everything!

Break-outs, eye puffiness, sore throat, varicose veins,
bruises, cuts and burns, itches, skin freshener and more.
WONDER DRUG! and inexpensive

I was thinking about the 4th of July
and remembered this pattern from Sweetwater for a first aid pouch.
I stitched it up this morning to put in my tote bag for the weekend.

I also dug out last years leftover fireworks!

coffee

No trip to the Black Hills is ever complete for us
without a stop at our favorite coffee roasters...

Dark Canyon Coffee.

I scored a couple of these burlap bags
to make Dakota Maid tote bags.

Can you smell coffee beans roasting?
I need a scratch and sniff blog!

Mr. b and I were in coffee heaven alright.
